Children's Book Council of Australia
Northern Territory Branch

The Children's Book Council of Australia is a national non-profit organisation that aims to promote children's literature and encourage reading though such activities as:

	disseminating information about children's books, authors and illustrators
	encouraging Australian authors and illustrators of children's books
	promoting high standards of children's book reviewing
	supporting quality children's library services
	organising Children's Book Week activities
	providing information and resources which stimulate wide interest and discussion of children's literature
	Support is given to NT members wishing to attend the biennial conference interstate.
	(These members usually share conference highlights at a meeting or through the newsletter. The next CBCA Conference will be held in Brisbane in 2010.)
